Face Covering Policy in On-Campus Housing

Face Covering Policy in On-Campus Housing

The following information was shared Friday, March 26 with current on-campus residents. Please refer to the University's main Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information page regularly for important campus information.

Despite Governor Doug Ducey’s decision yesterday to reduce some mask mandates, we wanted to remind you that the mask policy in campus housing has not changed. Though many eligible students and staff have received a vaccination, we must continue to make a concerted effort to reduce transmission of the coronavirus on campus.

Cloth face coverings must be worn in hallways, common spaces, lounges, bathrooms, kitchens and when interacting with a Housing & Residential Life staff member. Personal hygiene activities are exempt from this policy, while in the bathroom.

Our policies promote practices in the dorms that are consistent with CDC guidelines for COVID-19 risk reduction. The existing policies are still in place, and social distancing and other preventive practices should continue to be practiced. Please ask your RA or CD if you have questions about these policies.
